I had to kiss a frog or two before I found my prince. In fact you could say, the first husband was a TOAD. I wish that I had been as fortunate as Grill Mans parents to marry well the first time. Both of our parents hit major anniversary milestones at 50 plus and 60 years of marriage. What an amazing accomplishment!
In my biggest dreams I hope that my daughter will forgo the “starter husband” concept. It helps if you can wait, for the prince to arrive. Although they don’t always arrive on our timetable.
Tips on skipping starter husband
The real trick is to find a friend that you enjoy spending time with and go from there. Laughter is important and it will help on bad days. No matter how much you love them… there are times when they try your last shred of nerve. It is important to have the same values and appreciation of life, love, respect and family.
My Prince finally arrived, and in the nick of time. Grill Man is the part that was missing and my best friend. Happy he showed up for us when he did.
