Sunday is my favorite day of the week. Aaaahhhh rest is on the list. Sadly, it is the finishing touch to the weekend. For this reason, most of us limit the amount of activity that we may cram into our Sunday. In our daily lives we consistently try to shove “10 pounds of “it” into a 5 pound bag”. This usually makes a mess of something, or is it just me? Continue reading “Finally Sunday, aaahhhh Rest”

Barcelona Free-Style
On my first trip overseas, it was an adult version of ‘backpacking through Europe’. We traveled to 6 large European cities within 4 countries in 16 days. Our trio had minimal luggage which consisted of backpacks and tiny rolling suitcases. Adult version meaning we slept in hotels and used planes, trains and automobiles. Add a Little Play
Mondays are always so much fun! It is the return to the ‘work week’ and the end of the fun-days. Why is it that the week drags by and the fun-days are over before you have time to sit down and enjoy it? Continue reading “Add a Little Play”
Lunch, walk about and then some
I invited my friend Red over for lunch to catch up. Between our busy schedules, it had not been possible to do so before now. We had lunch at my house and indulged in the delicious carbs. Continue reading “Lunch, walk about and then some”

And yet, it is the hardest job to do well. I think that all parents at one point or another reflect on the child-rearing days and ponder, what if?
Time spent with Family and Friends
During this time of year, we have reminders for us to appreciate and be grateful. If we are mindful, displaying gratitude is part of our daily practice. It only takes the lost of an item for us to get a gentle or painful reminder depending on the “lost object”.
New Orleans 101, Friends, Food & more
New Orleans is a city that I love. I don’t presently live there but visit as often as I may. A city steeped in old world traditions, superstitions and architecture. New Orleans is a small big city. Most anything that you desire, can found within its boundaries. Even some things that you don’t want to find.
More Farm to Table and less convenience Addiction?
My cooking choices are often inspired by the items in the market. I prefer to cook items fresh and in season. I try to buy local when available and hope to encourage others to do so as well. This supports sustainability of our local communities.
I love, farm to table. It is amusing when you think that, farm to table is a social movement, now. How far away from common sense have we gone? The answer is, scary far. The secret is out folks, food grows on farms. What?
